VALORDB is a research instrument built on the near-complete population of Board of Veterans' Appeals decisions, 1992โ2025, wired to Title 38 of the U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations. It answers a question the official tools answer poorly: what has the Board actually done, by condition, representation, regional office, judge, year, and disposition, and what rule did it turn on.
For power users, attorneys & firms: drive VALORDB from the shell,
pip install valordb.
See it in action
A working preview of what Pro unlocks: the outcome dashboard and the "Ask the corpus" assistant, with the attorney output modes (Brief-Ready, Distinguishing, Memo Outline). The demo runs on placeholder numbers, but the AI is fully live, it answers instantly and free, with no setup, no API key, and no sign-up.
Sample screens from the Pro experience. Grounded answers, verified citations, and per-condition / per-judge analytics, computed from every published BVA decision in the live product.
What VALORDB is
Not an "AI for veterans" wrapper. The asset is the combination of three things that rarely sit together: the full BVA population normalized, grounded outcome analytics that surface structural patterns, and a sovereign, local-first inference architecture for privileged work.
Every published decision from VA's official sitemaps, expensive and slow to rebuild, normalized into structured outcomes: disposition, condition, regional office, judge, representation, AMA lane, and the statutes and regulations cited.
Grant, deny, and remand patterns over time and across dimensions. Numbers are never invented, the analysis layer emits a query plan and the app runs the real query against the corpus.
38 CFR and 38 U.S.C. ingested from authoritative sources (eCFR, the Office of Law Revision Counsel) and stamped "current as of" their effective date. Every citation the AI emits resolves against the ingested store or it is struck through.
Sovereign by default
For privileged, client-specific work, AI inference can run entirely on local, firm-controlled hardware, prompts and decision text never transmitted to any third-party AI provider. Cloud and bring-your-own-key inference is an opt-in convenience tier that carries an explicit, plain-language data-egress warning. This public site uses only the cloud/BYOK path; the sovereign engine ships with the on-site appliance.
Research, search, and outcome analytics on the public BVA corpus. Cloud/BYOK inference with a clear egress warning. No privileged-data entry.
The sovereign product for firms with confidentiality obligations. Local inference, cloud path absent from the build, safe for privileged work by architecture, not by warning.
Data integrity discipline
VALORDB's credibility rests on three honesty primitives that travel with every number it shows.
The interface distinguishes a true corpus gap from an ingestion gap from a display filter, names any omitted or provisional years, and tells you not to draw trend conclusions across them.
"Any-grant," "full-grant," and the per-issue basis are defined on the page, and why mixed decisions make the lines sum to more than 100%. The denominator is never hidden.
Output reasons about the corpus and the code, how the Board has historically treated claims like this under a given regulation, never about "your claim," and never "you should file X."
Access
Veterans and self-advocates use core search free, forever. Subscription value lives with accredited representatives and attorneys who need outcome statistics, judge- and regional-office variation, and Title 38 grounding in one place.
Veteran access is free, forever. All paid tiers are self-serve via Paddle; the keyed lane unlocks advanced analytics, the API, and export by tier. Contact us only for an on-site or custom deployment.
Curated partners Advertising
Up to five vetted placements, medical-evidence providers (nexus letters, IMOs), accredited firms, legitimate claims-consulting. No predatory lenders, no claim mills. Every placement is curated and runs directly through us.
Editorial independence: advertising placement has zero influence on VALORDB's data, search results, rankings, or AI analysis. Slots are labeled advertising. Rates & how it works โ
The featured anchor runs at the top of every page; the four standard placements rotate throughout the site. Vetted partners, VALORDB does not receive contingency fees or referral commissions.
