About VALORDB

VALORDB — Veterans Appeals Library & Outcomes Research is a research instrument for the published decisions of the Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA), wired together with the primary law that governs them (Title 38 of the U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations).

It exists to answer a question the official tools answer poorly: what has the Board actually done — by condition, representation, regional office, judge, year, and disposition — and what rule did it turn on. Black-letter regulation next to empirical outcome.

Who it's for

Where the data comes from

All source material is public record from primary government sources:

SourceWhatProvenance
Board of Veterans' Appeals decisions~1.86M decisions, 1992–presentVA's official decision sitemaps (va.gov)
38 CFR (regulations)Title 38 Code of Federal RegulationseCFR (ecfr.gov) — authoritative, dated
38 U.S.C. (statutes)Title 38 United States CodeOffice of Law Revision Counsel / govinfo

Regulations are stamped with the effective date they were current as of, and the law store is re-ingested on a schedule, because Title 38 changes (the AMA appeals overhaul, PACT Act presumptions, rolling amendments).

What it is not

VALORDB is a research and information tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for an accredited representative or attorney. See the Terms.
