2. What we collect

3. AI processing and where your text goes, this matters

When you use the AI features, the text of your prompt (which can include decision excerpts and any details you type) is sent to the AI engine you select:

We surface a clear warning in the interface whenever you select a provider that sends data off your machine. Do not put information you need to keep private into a non-local provider.

4. Veterans

Veteran access to core search is free, and we do not condition it on selling or sharing your data. We have no interest in monetizing veterans' personal information, the business model is professional research subscriptions, not data brokering.

5. Security

API keys are stored with restricted file permissions and excluded from source control. No system is perfectly secure; use the local option for anything sensitive.

You may use the Service without an account for public search. You may delete stored BYOK keys at any time from the AI settings. For account deletion or data questions, contact us.
